The Children's Program

The Children’s Program begins with a Montessori foundation. Dr. Maria Montessori suggested we “follow the child” – observe each individual to find out how to best serve that child to reach his innate human potential. The Children’s Academy for New World Leadership classes and study begin with this profound view and expands on this sensory awareness philosophy to embrace the learning that occurs when intuition, faith in self and in the world around us is explored and consciously utilized. Think of it as the tools used by the mind and heart that enable the child’s potential to consciously create the world they envision.

Can you imagine what society would be like if we all knew we had the potential to interact with that level of responsibility?

“It IS Easy Being Green?”

Week 2: June 21st – 25th

"Because green's the color of spring and green is cool and friendly-like, and green is big like the ocean, and tall like a tree." This excerpt of a song sung by Kermit the Frog connects us to the naturalness of green and what it means in our world.  This week-long camp gives your child the opportunity to interact with our beautiful environment at New World Leadership while learning simple ways they can love the Earth advised by local eco-consultant and NWL board member, Jim Simcoe.  This week will leave them with a sense of pride in knowing that they are contributing to the world in environmentally friendly ways.

I SPY – with my senses

Week 3: June 28th – July 2nd

This week takes children on an exploration of the ability of their senses.  Children will experience and develop the keenness of their vision, the fun of sniffing out clues with smell, expand their experience with taste and learn to have more faith in their intuition.  Through this development children use their senses to expand their ability to observe, listen, discover and make decisions through detective work.  A guest visit from San Diego Police Chief, Latino Division, Alan Alvarez will be part of this I SPY week.

Let the Games Begin

    Week 4: July 5th – 9th

Me, Myself & I

Week 7: July 26th – 30th
